Our Bioquest Inc., is a Yakima based agricultural company focused on growing, harvesting, and selling hop cones for the American craft beer and as well as to international Markets through its parent Company based out.
The company had till September 2016 made an investment more than US $ 1.10 million on its farming infrastructure in USA. The Company owns a hop farm on 140 acres of land with hops planted on 95 acres out of the 140 acres. The farm is located in the Yakima county 130 miles South-East of Seattle, WA. Yakima County produces 30% of the global hops production. The farm, till the year 2016, did not have its own dedicated infrastructure for primary farm harvesting and processing. It was dependent on other farm owners for this infrastructure. Since the area under hops cultivation is increasing in Washington on account of increasing demand for hops for the Craft Brewing Industry, there was no spare capacity with the other farms to satisfy the demand for harvesting the crop of Bioquest. Thus it became necessary for Bioquest to have its own dedicated harvesting infrastructure.
Bioquest Inc. will grow hop cones of various varietals. These hop flowers, after being processed into pellets and extracts are used in beer production for flavour and preservation of the brewed product.
After pelletization and packaging, the hops will be stored in refrigeration until the product is sold and shipped. The sealed product can be stored under refrigeration for approximately 6-12 months without significant degradation in quality.
Bioquest Inc. has in 2017 begun the supply of hop cones to local and regional craft breweries through contract based sales with Select Botanicals Group. The Company plans sales to international markets through its parent Company Aromatrix Flora based out of India from the year 2018 onwards.
